A little about yourself, if you would like.

Art: I call myself an artist of protected landscapes. I invented the medium, digital silk painting, because I love nature photography and silk painting. I am blessed? with both a technical mind and a free-flowing “joie de vivre”. Through digital silk painting, I can bridge these two aspects and more truly express my connection to these special places.
Teaching: I enjoy working with park visitors and budding young artists on and off the trail. The fruits of my experimenting and process improvement have lead to a myriad of teaching gigs, often including diverse and underserved populations. While teaching, I consider my role as a developer of art and the artistic voice in others that often begins with “why not” and is created in a safe moment engaging others in meaningful connections to time, place, significance.
